Teofan Bozadzhiyski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. General Velásquez's Rolf Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Lind in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Lind in the 27th minute of play forced General Velásquez's goalkeeper Rolf Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tor Ahlbom did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Rolf Holmgren 28 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Apolo Irigoyen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Hasund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Hasund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Sundborn IF booed when General Velásquez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuelo Oñez y Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Guntademaro Goyenechea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hans Hasund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tor Ahlbom in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolf Holmgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Hans Hasund successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Arhenius in the 55th minute of play forced General Velásquez's goalkeeper Rolf Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Arhenius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolf Holmgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Karl Arhenius scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolf Holmgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sundborn IF made a substitution. Josef Blomqvist replaced Sebastian Göransson. In the 80th minute, Jorge Vicente Squella ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Hasund was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 86 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Hans Hasund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Vicente Squella. Karl Arhenius might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolf Holmgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl Arhenius ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Sundborn IF getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Staffan Albäck hit a great ball. When Teofan Bozadzhiyski came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the General Velásquez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofan Bozadzhiyski couldn't finish the play. The General Velásquez players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sundborn IF from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
