De Pelgrims's Koos Keupink got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hendrik Adriaanse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Vedillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zacarias Pacho in the 9th minute. The corner ended in Ubaldo Vedillo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse did a great save. 11 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Baladi came free, but Hendrik Adriaanse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Gutxi to maneuver through the defense. Marc Aalberts struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Faustino Markel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Pelgrims. With a little luck, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Faustino Markel got control of the ball when Koos Keupink tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frits Beuneker got free with Faustino Markel in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goal looked a bit too open when Koos Keupink came free, but Faustino Markel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Frits Beuneker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Vedillo came free, but Hendrik Adriaanse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Chale took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hendrik Adriaanse. Hendrik Adriaanse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jouke Jacobs was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Koos Keupink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Faustino Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jouke Jacobs in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jouke Jacobs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Faustino Markel. That made the score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jouke Jacobs made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Baladi to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Chale got free with Hendrik Adriaanse in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, De Pelgrims's Ferdi van der Schaaf seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ferdi van der Schaaf the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of De Pelgrims protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ferdi van der Schaaf had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ferdi van der Schaaf kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Zacarias Pacho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hendrik Adriaanse having to make a save. 69 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Erauso came free, but Hendrik Adriaanse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmar Erauso got free with Hendrik Adriaanse in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hendrik Adriaanse was a little too slow when Ubaldo Vedillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-3. When Ubaldo Vedillo fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's protests and gave Ubaldo Vedillo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Ubaldo Vedillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Koos Keupink scored 2-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faustino Markel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Hendrik Adriaanse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Frits Beuneker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Olimpo de Bahia Blanca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
