Spectators: 7996 (Terracing: 5998, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frits Beuneker took the kick off in the first half of the match. FC Saxon's Luis Maestro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelvin de Boer in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute Frits Beuneker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Maestro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, FC Saxon's goal looked a bit too open when Danny van den Hoogen came free, but Luis Maestro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, FC Saxon's Milosz Milko dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Sochacki in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes FC Saxon got a freekick which was hit by Kacper Zarobski. In the 24th minute, Kacper Zarobski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hendrik Adriaanse was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Czeslaw Sochacki got free with Hendrik Adriaanse in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Saxon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kamen Beluhov in the 28th minute. FC Saxon's Kamen Beluhov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hendrik Adriaanse in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milosz Milko in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hendrik Adriaanse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Kelvin de Boer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Maestro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 44th minute Frits Beuneker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Maestro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Milosz Milko to make the kick off. A collision led to FC Saxon getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Czeslaw Sochacki hit a great ball. Jef Savenije kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Koos Keupink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Luis Maestro made a huge save. Koos Keupink came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luis Maestro could save by the left post. In the 72nd minute, Kacper Zarobski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Maestro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kelvin de Boer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Hendrik Adriaanse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kacper Zarobski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Saxon's Kacper Zarobski managed to work through De Pelgrims's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Kacper Zarobski dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 76 minutes into the match, Kacper Zarobski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hendrik Adriaanse. De Pelgrims's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kacper Zarobski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Milosz Milko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, Kacper Zarobski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Hendrik Adriaanse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hendrik Adriaanse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kacper Zarobski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hendrik Adriaanse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kacper Zarobski went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Saxon had played much better football throughout.
