Patagonia's Alfredo Corrente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laércio Sá made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Flavio Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 25 minutes, Mané Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Psiu!'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo De Cesaris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Laércio Sá made a huge save. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Alfredo Corrente sped through Psiu!'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Laércio Sá. In the 39th minute Alfredo Corrente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Corrente might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laércio Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Corrente ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Psiu! booed when A.C. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 played minutes Psiu! got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Galvão. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Alfredo Corrente sped through Psiu!'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Laércio Sá. After having played for 63 minutes, Alfredo De Cesaris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.C. Patagonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo De Cesaris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, A.C. Patagonia's Emanuele Fantini got a free kick in the 77th minute. Patagonia's goalie prevented a goal. Laércio Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Corrente's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Corrente in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laércio Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Gonçalves came free, but Francesco Colasante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Marrone kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
