Spectators: 7946 (Terracing: 5960, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) Ioan Oltean hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 6 minutes, Marian Ozon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Rio and the Chihuahua StrikerS™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Marian Ozon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Bolas in the 8th minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Nechifor Epure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Academia Rio defense, Flávio Perdigão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nechifor Epure. The Academia Rio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nechifor Epure should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute Danny Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes Academia Rio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Aires who took care of the corner kick. Pedro Aires made a great header on Chihuahua StrikerS™'s corner, it was just that Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure managed to reach the ball for a save. 16 minutes into the game, Flávio Perdigão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nechifor Epure was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 20 minutes, Danny Bolas made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Chihuahua StrikerS™'s Durval Bulhosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nechifor Epure made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia Rio's János Oltean slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Idalécio Rego. That made the score 1-4 after 26 minutes of play. Iurie Mutu kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Perdigão in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Bulhosa came free, but Nechifor Epure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Rio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedro Aires was slow to take the kick. During this time Chihuahua StrikerS™'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Pedro Aires almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure did a great save. Nechifor Epure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Bulhosa in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Durval Bulhosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chihuahua StrikerS™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ioan Oltean to strike the kick off in the second half. When Danny Bolas came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Chihuahua StrikerS™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Bolas couldn't finish the play. After 51 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Horia Berceanu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danny Bolas in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nechifor Epure saved Academia Rio from getting behind. Nechifor Epure was a little too slow when Danny Bolas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-6. Nechifor Epure made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Flávio Perdigão sent off a good shot on target. Nechifor Epure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Bolas, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure got control of the ball when Romão Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nechifor Epure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romão Furtado in the 83rd minute. Marian Ozon kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when Chihuahua StrikerS™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Perdigão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chihuahua StrikerS™'s Flávio Perdigão got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Danny Bolas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chihuahua StrikerS™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Nae Martinescu got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
