Domingos Savier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Paul van Mol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domingos Savier was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Domingos Savier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hub van Loo in the 16th minute. Paul van Mol took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domingos Savier. Domingos Savier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A collision led to Northern California getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Cristian da Rocha hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Paul van Mol notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Northern California's Domingos Savier. Domingos Savier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Domingos Savier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Zeldenrust in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Pablo Henrico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul van Mol struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Domingos Savier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ágætis Byrjun. After 36 played minutes Northern California got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Playo. Hub van Loo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Domingos Savier firmly grabbed it by the left post. 38 minutes into the game, Paul van Mol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Domingos Savier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Domingos Savier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul van Mol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Ágætis Byrjun's Paul van Mol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingos Savier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0.

Aurelio Berdoi made a great header on Northern California's corner, it was just that Ágætis Byrjun's Zé Pedro Valadares managed to reach the ball for a save.
