Edmund Lenertej had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping 孙银皓's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 孙银皓 took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmund Lenertej. Edmund Lenertej dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 周默岩's late challenge caught a Nightmare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. If 姚建松 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 方鹏朋 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Benitez in the 38th minute of the match. Marco Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 方鹏朋 having to interfere. The audience was convinced that 姚建松's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmund Lenertej was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Geoff Turner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
