Nechifor Epure dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Aurelio Berdoi scored 0-2 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Epure, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th minute, Luciano Goizeder made a precise shot to the right of Nechifor Epure. Academia Rio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Nechifor Epure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Isazi in the 15th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Gustavo Isazi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Gustavo Isazi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nechifor Epure. Academia Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Isazi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 24th minute Gustavo Isazi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Northern California's Domingos Savier got control of the ball when János Oltean tried to sneak it across the goal line. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Isazi in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Gustavo Isazi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Northern California fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 42 minutes into the match, Gustavo Isazi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nechifor Epure. Academia Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Isazi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Nae Martinescu's late challenge caught a Northern California's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nae Martinescu helped the player get up and apologised. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Isazi made a kick off. Nechifor Epure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Isazi in the 51st minute of the match. Horia Berceanu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Nechifor Epure took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Isazi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nechifor Epure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Isazi in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Isazi came free, but Nechifor Epure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Rio's zone, Pablo Henrico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Epure came out of the goal and Pablo Henrico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gustavo Isazi came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Northern California fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Isazi couldn't finish the play. Northern California's Luciano Goizeder got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute of the match, Gustavo Isazi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nechifor Epure saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Luciano Goizeder came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Northern California fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Goizeder couldn't finish the play. Luciano Goizeder was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Northern California's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Aurelio Berdoi came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nechifor Epure could save by the left post. Nechifor Epure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Isazi in the 85th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustavo Isazi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nechifor Epure. That made the score 0-7 in the 89 minute of play. Northern California's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
