When Academia Rio's János Oltean in the 2nd minute got a chance for a shot 2nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalie prevented a goal. In the 4th minute Academia Rio were awarded a corner. Nicu Burtea went to the cornerflag to take it. Nicu Burtea made a great header on Academia Rio's corner, it was just that Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Marciano Lano managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Los Hijos de Doña Beija getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ernesto Petri hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match Nicu Burtea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marciano Lano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by János Oltean in the 13th minute of play forced Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Marciano Lano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vali Ghelmegean's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marciano Lano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Severino Peli scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Epure, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the game, Dale Cabezon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nechifor Epure. Dale Cabezon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 26 played minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a freekick which was hit by Dale Cabezon. A collision led to Academia Rio getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Marian Ozon hit a great ball. Isaias Huly hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Vali Ghelmegean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nechifor Epure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Bernat in the 35th minute of the match. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure got control of the ball when Severino Peli tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Tiberiu Vornicescu fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Rio's protests and gave Tiberiu Vornicescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute Nestor Bernat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

János Oltean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Marciano Lano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marciano Lano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Vali Ghelmegean recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marciano Lano. Vali Ghelmegean showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 72nd minute, Nae Martinescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. János Oltean hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the game, Nestor Bernat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Nechifor Epure was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. János Oltean's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marciano Lano firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 93rd match minute, Los Hijos de Doña Beija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Park Ferretti to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Park Ferretti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Academia Rio's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Los Hijos de Doña Beija had won, even though Academia Rio had held more of the ball.
