In the 7th minute, Gustavo Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Victoriano Jerrold in the 8th minute really tested Tiaguinho Netto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 12 minutes of play, Clube do Remo MZ's Afonso Paraíba made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diego Ceresso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diego Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Joélson de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Afonso Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Congo Bongo's Diego Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Paraíba came free, but Diego Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonatan Bortzaioriz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Congo Bongo's Diego Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Paraíba in the 22nd minute of play. Diego Ceresso came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube do Remo MZ's Vivaldo Soeiro. But to his dismay, Vivaldo Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Congo Bongo's Diego Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan da Silveira in the 30th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Roberto Telo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Congo Bongo and the Clube do Remo MZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roberto Telo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Diego Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan da Silveira in the 33rd minute of play. Diego Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Allan da Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Ceresso was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Amadeo Belmiro lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 43 minutes into the game, Joélson de Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Diego Ceresso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gernando Maciel hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Allan da Silveira hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the game, Congo Bongo's Ramiro Blai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiaguinho Netto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Tiaguinho Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Blai in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, Congo Bongo's Diego Ceresso got control of the ball when Vivaldo Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Allan da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Clube do Remo MZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiaguinho Netto should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Blai came free, but Tiaguinho Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joélson de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victoriano Jerrold hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Diego Ceresso was a little too slow when Allan da Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 2-4. Diego Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Diego Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Clube do Remo MZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Congo Bongo throughout the match.
