In the 4th minute, Gilson Paraense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrio Norte FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Hertha 1969 getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Mark Stripf hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honesto Palou in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erich Pietta saved Hertha 1969 from getting behind. Gaspar Babul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Jäckel in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Gilson Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Barrio Norte FC's zone, Adam Jäckel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Babul came out of the goal and Adam Jäckel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaspar Babul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Jäckel's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Erich Pietta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adam Jäckel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Babul having to interfere. Hertha 1969's Mathieu Tippelt got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathieu Tippelt's late challenge caught a Barrio Norte FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathieu Tippelt helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Barrio Norte FC booed when Hertha 1969 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieu Tippelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erich Pietta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yerko Papič, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Erich Pietta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honesto Palou in the 33rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Hertha 1969's Gaspar Babul threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adam Jäckel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 37 minutes into the game, Mark Stripf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gaspar Babul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Jäckel to make the kick off. In the 70th minute, Adam Jäckel made a precise shot to the right of Gaspar Babul. Barrio Norte FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Boppo Obert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Barrio Norte FC's Honesto Palou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Babul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Stripf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Erich Pietta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honesto Palou. Erich Pietta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Honesto Palou showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-5 in the 97 minute of play. The Barrio Norte FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
