In the 14th minute Mark Stripf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gao Fei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Michael Simpson. Kris Palmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erich Pietta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Semjon Schapiro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hertha 1969's zone, Eusebio Odol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erich Pietta came out of the goal and Eusebio Odol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Erich Pietta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kris Palmann. After 25 minutes Hertha 1969's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fredrik Bredberg who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Fredrik Bredberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erich Pietta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 卫青 Wu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Erich Pietta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Kris Palmann could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Erich Pietta however easily saved by the left post. After 34 played minutes Real Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Odol. 37 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Erich Pietta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kris Palmann. Gao Fei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Stripf, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Tippelt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Simpson in the 44th minute of play forced Real Racing Club's goalkeeper Gao Fei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Simpson to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Hertha 1969 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Stripf to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Hertha 1969 getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Mathieu Tippelt hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes, Real Racing Club's Fredrik Bredberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erich Pietta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Racing Club reached it. In the 58th minute, Hertha 1969's Mark Stripf ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gao Fei. Gao Fei yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 卫青 Wu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erich Pietta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Jörn Achleitner lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Hertha 1969:s Erich Pietta showed great skill when he stopped Fredrik Bredberg:s penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathieu Tippelt during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Tippelt. After 94 played minutes Real Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Argi. 95 minutes into the match, Real Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Simpson came free, but Gao Fei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Hertha 1969 players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Real Racing Club from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
