Marcos Abellan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pepito Riba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Picanya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubio Losada to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Abellan struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Pepito Riba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gallos. When Doroteo Cameno came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Los Gallos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doroteo Cameno couldn't finish the play. After 91 minutes, Frechoso Sanz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Picanya FC and the Los Gallos players grew even worse after the yellow card.
