Spectators: 7984 (Terracing: 5989, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gonzalo Carneiro kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Víctor Espárrago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MZ Fénix's Vicente Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of MZ Fénix booed when LA LUZ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Mejía made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Tinoco in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute MZ Fénix were awarded a corner. Vicente Domingues went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on MZ Fénix's corner Vicente Domingues fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luís Mejía quite easily take care of the ball. When Tiburcio Lidon fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA LUZ F.C.'s protests and gave Tiburcio Lidon a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Mejía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Tinoco in the 23rd minute of the match. Luís Mejía came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by MZ Fénix's Noel Tinoco. But to his dismay, Noel Tinoco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After recieving a nice pass, LA LUZ F.C.'s Tiburcio Lidon tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

LA LUZ F.C. made a substitution. Fausto Johans replaced Marciano Maore. 54 minutes into the match, Gualterio Quilo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zarco Bandeira. MZ Fénix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gualterio Quilo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. LA LUZ F.C.'s Tiburcio Lidon got his second yellow card of the match in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Tiburcio Lidon off the ground. After 57 played minutes LA LUZ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Lidon. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind LA LUZ F.C.'s goalkeeper Luís Mejía, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Rubim Jesus got a free kick in the 67th minute. Patrício Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. LA LUZ F.C.'s Aldo Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of MZ Fénix booed when LA LUZ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, LA LUZ F.C.'s Luís Mejía got control of the ball when Noel Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nuno Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes MZ Fénix got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Cruz. MZ Fénix's Zarco Bandeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Artime in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, LA LUZ F.C.'s Aldo Furtado got a free kick in the 78th minute. MZ Fénix's Noel Tinoco was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 80th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Noel Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Mejía having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 94th minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Zarco Bandeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The LA LUZ F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when LA LUZ F.C.'s Gonzalo Carneiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
