After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Christoph Kannegiesser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Picanya FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christoph Kannegiesser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zarco Bandeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the game, Picanya FC's Baltasar Pascua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zarco Bandeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Zarco Bandeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 김 천, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Qwinton Pedrosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Picanya FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Qwinton Pedrosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Picanya FC's goalkeeper Pepito Riba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Picanya FC booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrício Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Pascua struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Zarco Bandeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picanya FC. Frechoso Sanz hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Noel Tinoco took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Pepito Riba to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltasar Pascua to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoph Kannegiesser got free with Zarco Bandeira in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Picanya FC's Pepito Riba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Tinoco in the 58th minute of play. Frechoso Sanz hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Frechoso Sanz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rubio Losada hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th play minute Christoph Kannegiesser came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zarco Bandeira. 2-2. Zarco Bandeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 김 천 in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Picanya FC's zone, Noel Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pepito Riba came out of the goal and Noel Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, MZ Fénix's Zarco Bandeira got control of the ball when Christoph Kannegiesser tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramón Mezquita came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zarco Bandeira could save by the left post. 81 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Idiaquez threw the ball into play from the sideline. MZ Fénix's Rubim Jesus quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zarco Bandeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoph Kannegiesser in the 90th minute of play. When Noel Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the MZ Fénix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Tinoco couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
