Luís Artime struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Quique Iglesias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA LUZ F.C.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Artime in the 6th minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Quique Iglesias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes LA LUZ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Simon Hechter. Fidel Dimas in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Mejía, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 10th match minute, LA LUZ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Hechter to maneuver through the defense. Gonzalo Carneiro took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quique Iglesias. Quique Iglesias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Los Delfines's Ciriaco Veronica got a free kick in the 20th minute. Los Delfines's Quique Iglesias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Maore in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Ciriaco Veronica reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Mejía. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 30th minute Marciano Maore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quique Iglesias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Quilo in the 33rd minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Quique Iglesias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, LA LUZ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Cresconio came free, but Luís Mejía reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Los Delfines's Tomás Domeka got a free kick in the 44th minute. Los Delfines's Quique Iglesias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonzalo Carneiro made a kick off. Froilan Kimetz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute Pedro Cresconio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Mejía saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quique Iglesias made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Luís Artime sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Luís Artime left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LA LUZ F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Cayetano Rolado came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Los Delfines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cayetano Rolado couldn't finish the play. The LA LUZ F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing LA LUZ F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
