Nacho Figueroa came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Los Gallos's Arnoldo Amaya. But to his dismay, Arnoldo Amaya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Abellan in the 44th minute of play forced OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Nacho Figueroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-7.

Marcos Abellan scored 1-11 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nacho Figueroa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sigvald Birkborg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute, Marcos Abellan made a precise shot to the right of Nacho Figueroa. OROTINENSE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-12. After a rather tough play, Los Gallos's Muni Cero got a free kick in the 90th minute. Sigvald Birkborg, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Abellan got free with Nacho Figueroa in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The OROTINENSE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Los Gallos's performance. The match ended with a win for Los Gallos.
