With his leg Cent Haugsvær managed to avoid a goal in the 2ndth minute, when Les Pionniers de Touraine's Ibrahim Chapalain fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 7th match minute, Cheeky Nuts United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stian Systad to maneuver through the defense. When Rodrigue Davoust came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Les Pionniers de Touraine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigue Davoust couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalkeeper Régis Bastian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute Cheeky Nuts United were awarded a corner. Frode Norum went to the cornerflag to take it. Les Pionniers de Touraine's Régis Bastian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ken Nordtveit in the 24th minute of play. Cent Haugsvær came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Les Pionniers de Touraine's Rodrigue Davoust. But to his dismay, Rodrigue Davoust quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Régis Bastian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Urdin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Christian Castex recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute Jaime Urdin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Jean-Pascal Berthelot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Les Pionniers de Touraine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cheeky Nuts United the free kick. In the 45th minute, Jean-Pascal Berthelot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Urdin was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Les Pionniers de Touraine's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Nordtveit came free, but Régis Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Kent Milde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stian Systad in the 57th minute of play forced Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalkeeper Régis Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Urdins short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Régis Bastian to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The nice shot from Jaime Urdin in the 60thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Régis Bastian had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With a little luck, Les Pionniers de Touraine's Régis Bastian got control of the ball when Jaime Urdin tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Cheeky Nuts United getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jaime Urdin hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, Cheeky Nuts United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stian Hammeren to maneuver through the defense. Kent Milde hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Jean-Pascal Berthelot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Les Pionniers de Touraine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Pascal Berthelot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st match minute, Cheeky Nuts United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stian Systad to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the game, Christian Castex cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Cent Haugsvær was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
