Plamen Zhikov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Tauras Dovydėnas scored 2-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Plamen Zhikov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edvaldo Marques hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Tauras Dovydėnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Plamen Zhikov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vaclovas Jurkus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicent Boonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Valdas Ivanauskas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Vila Mascote FC booed when Absoliut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdas Ivanauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enéas Santos was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tauras Dovydėnas in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Plamen Zhikov saved Vila Mascote FC from getting behind. In the 60th minute 崔远平 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaclovas Jurkus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Mascote FC's zone, Tauras Dovydėnas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Plamen Zhikov came out of the goal and Tauras Dovydėnas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd match minute, Vila Mascote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Marques to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Tauras Dovydėnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Plamen Zhikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Absoliut got a freekick which was hit by Valdas Ivanauskas. Tauras Dovydėnas might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Plamen Zhikov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tauras Dovydėnas ran back to his position shaking his head. Plamen Zhikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tauras Dovydėnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Valdas Ivanauskas was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 80 played minutes Absoliut got a freekick which was hit by Valdas Ivanauskas. When Tauras Dovydėnas came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Absoliut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tauras Dovydėnas couldn't finish the play.
