The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s zone, Borys Dulka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Gutierrez came out of the goal and Borys Dulka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Thunderstorm Riders getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Mikolaj Malewicz hit a great ball. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Diómedes Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diómedes Rodriguez in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel do Vale saved Thunderstorm Riders from getting behind. When Zheko Kraychev fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s protests and gave Zheko Kraychev a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ got a freekick which was hit by Zheko Kraychev. Sergio Gutierrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Borys Dulka, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Borys Dulka in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio Gutierrez saved ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bogumil Pankiewicz during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sergio Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Tyskie in the 41st minute of play. Sergio Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jedrzej Gdaniec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Gutierrez made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Marek Tyskie sent off a good shot on target. Miromir Turok's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Sergio Gutierrez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 47 played minutes ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ got a freekick which was hit by Diómedes Rodriguez. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lambis Kostopoulos to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Borys Dulka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Marek Tyskie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergio Gutierrez. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marek Tyskie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borys Dulka in the 60th minute of play forced ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper Sergio Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diómedes Rodriguez's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Thunderstorm Riders's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Korneliusz Kolba in the 81st minute. The corner ended in Marek Tyskie almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Sergio Gutierrez did a great save. Sergio Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Tyskie in the 85th minute of play. Miguel do Vale made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Diómedes Rodriguez sent off a good shot on target. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Sergio Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borys Dulka in the 91st minute of play. After 91 played minutes ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ got a freekick which was hit by Zheko Kraychev. Sergio Gutierrez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Borys Dulka went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score.
