RB Chubut's Robert Vassenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save RB Chubut from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Thunderstorm Riders booed when RB Chubut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Anselmino didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Mingo in the 27th minute of play forced Thunderstorm Riders's goalkeeper Miguel do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
