With a little luck, U. de Tarapacá's Juan Luis Langdon got control of the ball when Yavuz Bülent Özger tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pål Askestät got free with Juan Luis Langdon in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 6 minutes, Pål Askestät mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Average Joes and the U. de Tarapacá players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Average Joes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pål Askestät to maneuver through the defense. Victoriano Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvis Nieto, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Juan Luis Langdon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Bülent Özger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute of the match, Arthur Saba tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juan Luis Langdon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The corner led Average Joes's Filip Flink to fire away a dangerous shot which Juan Luis Langdon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 16th minute Per Rolandsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Luis Langdon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Pål Askestät ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Luis Langdon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Average Joes's Victoriano Abel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miren Guilisasti in the 21st minute of play. In the 30th minute Arthur Saba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Luis Langdon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Average Joes got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz Bülent Özger. After 35 played minutes, U. de Tarapacá's Paulín Jurado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victoriano Abel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U. de Tarapacá reached it. After a rather tough play, Average Joes's Zé Roberto Sousa got a free kick in the 35th minute. Victoriano Abel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Pozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Juan Luis Langdon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Saba. Juan Luis Langdon made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Arthur Saba sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Average Joes's Nils-Emil Gulliksson was substituted for Lukas Bäckman. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Blanco Paris was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Per Rolandsson came free, but Juan Luis Langdon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Average Joes fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Average Joes's Per Rolandsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kasper Bodin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juan Luis Langdon. U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 68th minute Miren Guilisasti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthias Liljeström hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Victoriano Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Pozo in the 69th minute of play. U. de Tarapacá's Juan Luis Langdon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yavuz Bülent Özger in the 72nd minute of play. Juan Luis Langdon came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Average Joes's Pål Askestät. But to his dismay, Pål Askestät quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Kasper Bodin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Pål Askestät ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Luis Langdon was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Average Joes made a substitution. Jo Blanchaert replaced Pål Askestät. Average Joes made a substitution. Jeremias Silban replaced Per Rolandsson. The supporters of U. de Tarapacá booed when Average Joes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Silban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Luis Langdon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Alonso Venturino charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alonso Venturino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Alonso Venturino hit a great ball. Jeremias Silban scored 6-0 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Luis Langdon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Average Joes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
