The supporters of U. de Tarapacá booed when Los Hermanos CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Militão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, U. de Tarapacá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolomé Romero to maneuver through the defense. Alam Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Donnarumma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Juvenal Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes Los Hermanos CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Ramalho. 25 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's Alonso Venturino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Donnarumma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kåre Nochev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Amorim in the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, one of Los Hermanos CIMZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Hermanos CIMZ. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for U. de Tarapacá. Alonso Venturino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lucas Donnarumma. 0-1. In the 38th match minute, U. de Tarapacá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blanco Paris to maneuver through the defense. Juvenal Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kåre Nochev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blanco Paris made a kick off. U. de Tarapacá's Alfredo Saralegui got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Hamílton Simões fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Hermanos CIMZ's protests and gave Hamílton Simões a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Los Hermanos CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Simões. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Alonso Venturino got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho Braga in the 69th minute of play forced U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Kåre Nochev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miren Guilisasti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Lucas Donnarumma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Donnarumma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blanco Paris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 77 minutes, Alonso Venturino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U. de Tarapacá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alonso Venturino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th match minute, Los Hermanos CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Alonso Venturino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celsinho Braga charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celsinho Braga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lucas Donnarumma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miren Guilisasti went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The U. de Tarapacá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
