PreZiDenT SaRuMaN were furious when Mehmet Arif Dadaloğlu was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of PreZiDenT SaRuMaN:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valencia C.F.:s goal. The goalkeeper, Şevket Özakay, was totally fooled by Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 36th minute of the match, Florentin Gougeon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Şevket Özakay saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Andoni Zubizarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Görkem Tümel, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match PreZiDenT SaRuMaN got a corner. Valencia C.F.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ali Faruk Öğün ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mário Kempes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Şevket Özakay made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 44th minute of play forced PreZiDenT SaRuMaN's goalkeeper Şevket Özakay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

A collision led to PreZiDenT SaRuMaN getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Berker Rıza Sözmen hit a great ball. Şevket Özakay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentin Gougeon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd match minute, PreZiDenT SaRuMaN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Bastos to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Florentin Gougeon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şevket Özakay skillfully saved the ball. Florentin Gougeon's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Şevket Özakay - 3-0 was put on the score board in the 63rd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Yahya Kuter came free, but Andoni Zubizarreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Brito hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Mário Kempes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şevket Özakay was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Görkem Tümel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. PreZiDenT SaRuMaN's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 86th minute of the match, Görkem Tümel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andoni Zubizarreta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 94 minutes of play, Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şevket Özakay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valencia C.F.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
