An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Paz in the 9th minute of play forced 1989 Blxsk's goalkeeper Santo Shantala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Bazkoare who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Santo Shantala when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcelo Mattin charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Mattin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Rene Gaueko fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1989 Blxsk's protests and gave Rene Gaueko a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Social y Dep. Patagonia booed when 1989 Blxsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Gaueko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bogdan Tylenda kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Santo Shantala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Bazkoare in the 24th minute. Social y Dep. Patagonia's Isidro Chuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Bartoli in the 26th minute of play. Wen Xiang Mo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Sergio Raymundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Vermudo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, 1989 Blxsk's Carlos Platon tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 39 played minutes 1989 Blxsk got a freekick which was hit by Don Olofinjana.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celestino Bazkoare to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Rene Gaueko took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Isidro Chuan to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 85 minutes, Jonathan Bartoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1989 Blxsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Bartoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute Candido Joseph shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
