The 1989 Blxsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santo Shantala should have stopped the shot. After having played for 20 minutes, Cayetano Paz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Social y Dep. Patagonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cayetano Paz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celestino Bazkoare was the one to do the kick off. Inocencio Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Shantala having to interfere. Santo Shantala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Bazkoare in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Social y Dep. Patagonia's Cayetano Paz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santo Shantala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Bartoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Inocencio Pinto fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Social y Dep. When Carlos Platon came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the 1989 Blxsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Platon couldn't finish the play. Isidro Chuan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Platon went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the match, Mario Tiniebra notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Social y Dep. Patagonia's Isidro Chuan. Isidro Chuan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isidro Chuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Tiniebra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the game, 1989 Blxsk's Jonathan Bartoli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidro Chuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 86th minute, Jonathan Bartoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Mauro Vermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of 1989 Blxsk booed when Social y Dep. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute of the match Carlos Platon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidro Chuan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 1989 Blxsk fans cheered their team off the field, for while Social y Dep. Patagonia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
