Barrett Wallace showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Hamrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Claude Makélélé cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Barrett Wallace was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rickard Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mímir Tille in the 15th minute of play. After 16 played minutes LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO got a freekick which was hit by Marc Hassing. Rickard Jakobsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Žan Matto in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute of the match LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO got a corner. IFK Gladdarna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mourad Chêne ran over to the corner to take the kick. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Mourad Chêne was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rickard Jakobsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mímir Tille 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Stenberg in the 27th minute of play forced LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalkeeper Barrett Wallace to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th match minute, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pat De Cock to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Žan Matto in the 31st minute of play forced IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper Rickard Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Kurt Hamrin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Gladdarna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Barrett Wallace showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Hamrin in the 41st minute of the match. After 43 played minutes LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO got a freekick which was hit by Žan Matto. Barrett Wallace didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claude Makélélé went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Žan Matto had several of the IFK Gladdarna's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 48 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Rickard Jakobsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. After the first half IFK Gladdarna were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Freddie Stenberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Kurt Hamrin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Barrett Wallace made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Gunnarsson during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Victor Gunnarsson hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mímir Tille in the 57th minute of play forced IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper Rickard Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd match minute, IFK Gladdarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Gunnarsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute of the match Mourad Chêne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rickard Jakobsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's zone, Claude Makélélé stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barrett Wallace came out of the goal and Claude Makélélé tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Barrett Wallace managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when IFK Gladdarna's Kurt Hamrin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 69th minute, Victor Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO got a freekick which was hit by Mourad Chêne. 76 minutes into the match, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalkeeper Barrett Wallace had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Hamrin. With a little luck, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Barrett Wallace got control of the ball when Kurt Hamrin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Gunnarsson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Mímir Tille shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Mourad Chêne hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Mímir Tille managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's supporters rose to their feet, but Mímir Tille was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rickard Jakobsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded IFK Gladdarna left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO.
