Spectators: 8038 (Terracing: 6029, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 160) Nestor Chap started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd match minute, Q. T. I. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Chap to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute Nicolau Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Txatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolau Soeiro in the 4th minute of play forced Q. T. I.'s goalkeeper Paulo Txatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gremio Viana's Nicolau Soeiro in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Q. T. I.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 10th minute, Ignacio Ignatius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Macerio in the 14th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Silvino Morais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvino Morais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Macerio in the 15th minute of the match. Paulo Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolau Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Jaime Menendo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Q. T. I.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gremio Viana the free kick. A collision led to Q. T. I. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jaime Menendo hit a great ball. Gremio Viana's Silvino Morais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio Viana from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute Nestor Chap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvino Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolau Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gremio Viana's Silvino Morais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Gremio Viana from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Nicolau Soeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Txatxu was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Paulo Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Paulo Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolau Soeiro in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Q. T. I.'s zone, Nicolau Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Txatxu came out of the goal and Nicolau Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Su hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolau Soeiro to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Pablo Perutxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nicolau Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Gremio Viana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolau Soeiro couldn't finish the play. Paulo Txatxu came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Nicolau Soeiro. But to his dismay, Nicolau Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nicolau Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Txatxu having to interfere. Paulo Txatxu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolau Soeiro in the 89th minute. In the 95th minute, Nicolau Soeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gremio Viana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The Q. T. I. manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Gremio Viana to win.
