Hilário Borba made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Milosz Budzyn sent off a good shot on target. Aparício Taborda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Izydor Pilipiec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Franciszek Kostrzewa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Nicolau Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio Viana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolau Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to 2kC Poznań getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Arkadiusz Rydzewski hit a great ball. Milosz Podowski made in the 43rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milosz Budzyn. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 81 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Hildeberto Póvoas. Hilário Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franciszek Kostrzewa in the 83rd minute of play. Nicolau Soeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Izydor Pilipiec having to make a save. Hildeberto Póvoas's late challenge caught a 2kC Poznań's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hildeberto Póvoas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of 2kC Poznań booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hildeberto Póvoas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Despot Majetić fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
