The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Donostia got free with Paulo Txatxu in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 李煜 Wu in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Adrian Billberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Sotil in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Q. T. I.'s zone, 李煜 Wu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Txatxu came out of the goal and 李煜 Wu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Donostia, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Sonstorps Fotboll got a corner. Q. T. I.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mark Dahlberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mark Dahlberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu did a great save. Ignacio Ignatius kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Paulo Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Donostia, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, German Veto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ermegildo Sotil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Sonstorps Fotboll's Mark Dahlberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Txatxu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Q. T. I. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
