Ballkam Sportsklubb's Harald Dyrseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Abreu in the 13th minute of play. Harald Dyrseth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Abreu in the 14th minute. Harald Dyrseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Arthur Lode had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigve Halvorsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sigve Berg fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballkam Sportsklubb's protests and gave Sigve Berg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Ballkam Sportsklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigve Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Ballkam Sportsklubb's Fredrik Grønning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aloísio Vargas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute Gerardo Ibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Dyrseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ballkam Sportsklubb's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
