A sloppy throw-in by Fredrik Birkeland in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Degerfors IF's 孙树真. Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Kašpárek in the 18th minute of play. Sigve Halvorsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Håkan Söderberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Kašpárek in the 23rd minute of the match. Balder Sundstrøm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witold Serwacki, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ballkam Sportsklubb's Balder Sundstrøm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuncay Cansever in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tuncay Cansever in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Balder Sundstrøm saved Ballkam Sportsklubb from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artemio Maore during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ballkam Sportsklubb booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Maore didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballkam Sportsklubb's goalkeeper Balder Sundstrøm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Håkan Söderberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigve Halvorsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the game, Ballkam Sportsklubb's Oscar Kašpárek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Håkan Söderberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. If Tuncay Cansever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 김 손 kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Håkan Söderberg was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Sigve Halvorsen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sigve Halvorsen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. After some careless play in the Degerfors IF defense, Sigve Halvorsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Håkan Söderberg. The Degerfors IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Håkan Söderberg should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Ballkam Sportsklubb's goal looked a bit too open when Tuncay Cansever came free, but Balder Sundstrøm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sigve Halvorsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tuncay Cansever in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Balder Sundstrøm saved Ballkam Sportsklubb from getting behind. Jonas Selvåg kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Fredrik Grønning sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg didn't even have to move.
