In the 4th minute, Muget's Marcu Cenușă seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcu Cenușă the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Muget protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcu Cenușă had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Muget getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Marcu Cenușă hit a great ball. Gigel Petrean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Muget's Gigel Petrean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Ekain in the 6th minute of play. Gigel Petrean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Gaitan in the 7th minute of the match. Cable a Tierra were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Muget's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eleuterio Ekain took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Eleuterio Ekain got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gigel Petrean quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Irinel Oros hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. A collision led to Muget getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Radu Măliță hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Irinel Oros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Muget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Măliță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Ekain took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gigel Petrean. Muget's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 27th minute, Baltasar Gaitan made a precise shot to the right of Gigel Petrean. Muget's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 29th minute, Nistor Beșliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 minutes, Horea Cenușă made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cable a Tierra's Edelmiro Eriz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Muget's Gigel Petrean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Ekain in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Gorosti in the 44th minute of play forced Muget's goalkeeper Gigel Petrean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ivan Cârlan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
