Fågelmara IK's Olov Lilja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Laws in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute Bruno Lenzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Lilja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Lilja made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Richard Laws sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Lenzi got free with Olov Lilja in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olov Lilja made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Richard Laws sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruno Lenzi made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Lenzi came free, but Olov Lilja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Clarence Makélélé hit a great ball. Olov Lilja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Lenzi's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Olov Lilja came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Bruno Lenzi. But to his dismay, Bruno Lenzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 76 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Lenzi came free, but Olov Lilja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Lilja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Lenzi in the 78th minute of play. Clarence Makélélé took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Lilja. Olov Lilja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Limitone in the 84th minute of play forced Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper Olov Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 played minutes ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ got a freekick which was hit by Clarence Makélélé. In the 86th minute, Kenji Takahara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Krister Lundström in the 87th minute really tested Angelo Bertoni's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Laws came free, but Olov Lilja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Lenzi in the 90th minute of play forced Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper Olov Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Bruno Lenzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Lilja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
