Ernie Ball might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olov Lilja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernie Ball ran back to his position shaking his head. Olov Lilja made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Ernie Ball sent off a good shot on target. 8 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Oskar Borre came free, but Angel Comizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Fågelmara IK booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernie Ball didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Per-Oskar Borre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angel Comizzo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernie Ball kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Olov Lilja. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. A collision led to Batalionul U23 Dorobanti getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mădălin Geamănu hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Alfons Siggesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Comizzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Lilja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Tristan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Lilja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernie Ball in the 41st minute of play. Diego Tristan took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Lilja. Olov Lilja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfons Siggesson made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Tristan in the 56th minute of play forced Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper Olov Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernie Ball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ernie Ball had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Fågelmara IK booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Faron didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Aron Österberg in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Quique Doro. Ernie Ball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ernie Ball had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti had played much better football throughout.
