In the 5th minute Leonardo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 played minutes Ogro F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Mario Duplantier. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Eliézer da Silveira put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Osmar Maciel. If Fellipe da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castanheiro SC's Fernandão Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Terrana in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe da Silva in the 26th minute of play forced Ogro F.C.'s goalkeeper Osmar Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandão Penha came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Ogro F.C.'s Mario Duplantier. But to his dismay, Mario Duplantier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ogro F.C.'s Osmar Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer da Silveira in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliézer da Silveira to strike the kick off in the second half. Castanheiro SC's Fernandão Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Duplantier in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ogro F.C.'s Artur de Castro got a free kick in the 55th minute. With a little luck, Ogro F.C.'s Osmar Maciel got control of the ball when Eliézer da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Duplantier came free, but Fernandão Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Mario Duplantier notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Castanheiro SC's Fernandão Penha. Fernandão Penha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliézer da Silveira got free with Osmar Maciel in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gualter Arce's late challenge caught a Castanheiro SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualter Arce helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Gualter Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandão Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cuca Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
