In the 10th minute Doğan Gayret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doğan Gayret could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Osmar Maciel made a huge save. The supporters of Nagyváradi AC booed when Ogro F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Terrana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Mario Duplantier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gyula Grosics was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 played minutes Ogro F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ingo Schwichtenberg. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
