The Purple Talents fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Carabajal should have stopped the shot. Iker Carabajal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Navarro in the 16th minute of play. Arın Özerkmen came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Iker Carabajal could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Purple Talents's zone, Julio Ramírez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Carabajal came out of the goal and Julio Ramírez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Matias Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Carabajal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Matias Navarro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Iker Carabajal to make any attempt to save it. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's goalkeeper Max Barrera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Purple Talents were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Pαɳαɱα Jυɳισɾʂ FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Donato Azevedo took the corner. Purple Talents's Donato Azevedo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Max Barrera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
