Murilo Ferreira hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Enéas Pontes's late challenge caught a Templários MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enéas Pontes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Enéas Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Proteu's goal looked a bit too open when Jânio de Barros came free, but Ulysses Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jânio de Barros spun around in front of the goal 15 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Proteu's goal. When Templários MZC's Jânio de Barros in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Proteu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ulysses Donato, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Caco Valadares's late challenge caught a Proteu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Templários MZC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Proteu a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luizinho Perfumo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Templários MZC's Luiz Gustavo Eger. 4-1. In the 66th match minute, Proteu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Eduardo Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. Enéas Pontes struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Luiz Gustavo Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Proteu. If Enéas Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Templários MZC's zone, Enéas Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo Eger came out of the goal and Enéas Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Carlinhos da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Templários MZC's protests and gave Carlinhos da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, Templários MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Luizinho Perfumo shot a long shot in the 84th minute and a light blocked Luiz Gustavo Eger hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romário Nóbrega got free with Ulysses Donato in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 92 minutes of play Proteu's Enéas Pontes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 98 played minutes Templários MZC got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Vianna. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Qu Wei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Proteu's supporters rose to their feet, but Qu Wei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Gustavo Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Proteu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
