The supporters of ZigZag Athletic booed when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Bastian didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tolek Mlekodaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Houdini in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anthon Eliasson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albino Maiorga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Eliasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Albino Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthon Eliasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthon Eliasson in the 57th minute of play forced Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Albino Maiorga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teofilo Distiratsu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthon Eliasson in the 85th minute of play. Gösta Messi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Maiorga having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Öman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Albino Maiorga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ZigZag Athletic fans cheered their team off the field, for while Deportivo Pomelo Nenene had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
