Anselmo Lucila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Mlekodaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 21st match minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Albino Maiorga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cenan Ergüven in the 25th minute of play. Albino Maiorga made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Edmílson Cunha sent off a good shot on target. Anselmo Lucila came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Tolek Mlekodaj. But to his dismay, Tolek Mlekodaj quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Pece Etoo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmílson Cunha during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edmílson Cunha hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46thth minute of the game Tolek Mlekodaj who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but los nadies's Anselmo Lucila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tolek Mlekodaj stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Arnas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Siro Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Santo Gonzo got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, los nadies's goalkeeper Anselmo Lucila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tolek Mlekodaj. Anselmo Lucila was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Tolek Mlekodaj capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tolek Mlekodaj really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Tomás Idacio was substituted for Ademar Cosme. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Cesar Teofilio was substituted for Santo Gonzo. 72 minutes into the game, Edmílson Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Albino Maiorga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th match minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Bastian to maneuver through the defense. When Cenan Ergüven fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored los nadies's protests and gave Cenan Ergüven a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deportivo Pomelo Nenene booed when los nadies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cenan Ergüven didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cesar Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Maiorga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osman Nuri Enver, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
