Favian Muff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Miklos Hemmel made a huge save. 16 minutes into the game, Tyge Amster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uggeløse SIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lugano the free kick. Tyge Amster hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Favian Muff recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miklos Hemmel. Favian Muff showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Wenike in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miklos Hemmel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Uggeløse SIK's János Gyulai quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vico Sticher, made in the 36th minute of the game. Miklos Hemmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uggeløse SIK's Seyfettin İlican got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Favian Muff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Georg Lindvig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godo Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Qiao Jian during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Qiao Jian kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 59th minute Alex Wenike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godo Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Wenike. Uggeløse SIK's Miklos Hemmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 64th minute of play. After 65 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miklos Hemmel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lugano's goalkeeper Godo Gøl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miklos Hemmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qiao Jian in the 70th minute of the match. Miklos Hemmel came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Favian Muff. But to his dismay, Favian Muff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Uggeløse SIK made a substitution. Sergio Berti replaced Daniel Cabral. FC Lugano's Teddy Racine was substituted for Vico Sticher. Miklos Hemmel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Favian Muff, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With his leg Godo Gøl managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Uggeløse SIK's Alex Wenike fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Wenike got free with Godo Gøl in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Lugano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
