Rodriguinho Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Cresenciano having to interfere. With his leg Murillo Pinho managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Lucky Star's Xabier 黄忠 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rodriguinho Vander might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Cresenciano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodriguinho Vander ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeremias Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Joel Cresenciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Rodriguinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Cresenciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo de Godoi in the 16th minute of play forced Lucky Star's goalkeeper Joel Cresenciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Lucky Star's Dragoş Socoriceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xabier 黄忠 got free with Murillo Pinho in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Cresenciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo de Godoi in the 26th minute of the match. Jovens Democratas MZC's Murillo Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Jovens Democratas MZC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Lucky Star was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Aksan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilson Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Cresenciano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Erasmo de Godoi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Cresenciano was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Lucky Star's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Negri came free, but Joel Cresenciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Rodriguinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Cresenciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Lucky Star was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Socoriceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Giring Suprianto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Murillo Pinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xabier 黄忠 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodriguinho Vander did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Joel Cresenciano 53 minutes into the match. Abel Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Dracena. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Alvin Gustavsson replaced Jeremias Britto. In the 64th minute, Abel Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jovens Democratas MZC's Marco Polo was substituted for Rodriguinho Vander. Marco Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Cresenciano having to interfere. Joel Cresenciano made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Erasmo de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. Jovens Democratas MZC's Gilson Barros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 74th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lucky Star. 76 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Cresenciano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Lucky Star's Joel Cresenciano got control of the ball when Giuseppe Negri tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 79 minutes, Bagong Tomagola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lucky Star and the Jovens Democratas MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bagong Tomagola kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Giuseppe Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvin Gustavsson hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Joel Cresenciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With his leg Joel Cresenciano managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Jovens Democratas MZC's Marco Polo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lucky Star's Joel Cresenciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Lucky Star from getting a goal against them. If Giuseppe Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo de Godoi to maneuver through the defense.
