Stanislaw Sienkiewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stanislaw Sienkiewicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stanislaw Sienkiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes KN ZGORZELEC got a freekick which was hit by Gwidon Hetman. After 12 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Piszczor was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emil Piszczor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to KN ZGORZELEC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tytus Cizeski hit a great ball. Konrad Zagrobelny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Godo Gøl made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vico Sticher in the 28th minute of play forced KN ZGORZELEC's goalkeeper Emil Piszczor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pattharawut Sirikeartkumjorn to maneuver through the defense. FC Lugano's Qiao Jian was substituted for Ray Büeler. KN ZGORZELEC were furious when Franciszek Sobczak was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, KN ZGORZELEC's Franciszek Sobczak got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes, FC Lugano's Pattharawut Sirikeartkumjorn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emil Piszczor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Lugano reached it. The supporters of KN ZGORZELEC booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vico Sticher didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the KN ZGORZELEC defense, Vico Sticher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emil Piszczor. The KN ZGORZELEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emil Piszczor should have stopped the shot. Emil Piszczor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Qiao Jian in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Piszczor saved KN ZGORZELEC from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Qiao Jian was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Qiao Jian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Emil Piszczor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Lugano's Qiao Jian got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Konrad Zagrobelny took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godo Gøl. Godo Gøl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. FC Lugano made a substitution. Jirko Bur replaced Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon. Konrad Zagrobelny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Godo Gøl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godo Gøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kajetan Czciborek in the 62nd minute of play. Emil Piszczor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emil Piszczor, 1-4. Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul scored 1-5 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emil Piszczor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emil Piszczor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Qiao Jian's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emil Piszczor. Emil Piszczor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Godo Gøl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kajetan Czciborek went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. Emil Piszczor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 86th minute of the match. Emil Piszczor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Qiao Jian in the 87th minute. With a little luck, KN ZGORZELEC's Emil Piszczor got control of the ball when Qiao Jian tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Lugano's Godo Gøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Zagrobelny in the 93rd minute of play. The FC Lugano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Lugano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
