The audience was convinced that Tord Kämpe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurelio Abancens was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 21st play minute Chiquito Benítez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Chen Hong Jun. 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Tord Kämpe managed to get in a good position for a shot. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chiquito Benítez was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Deportivo Mandiyu had won after a very even match.
