With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Romano in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kire Irving saved Quebrachitos FC from getting behind. Santo Romano struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Kire Irving didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabossi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Romano in the 15th minute of play forced Quebrachitos FC's goalkeeper Kire Irving to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achille Ruzzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute of the game Mauricio Crispo made a throw-in which Marcell Pécsi played forward. If Ezequiel Blasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Blasi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Quebrachitos FC defense, Santo Romano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kire Irving. The Quebrachitos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kire Irving should have stopped the shot. Quebrachitos FC's Matthías Sammer managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Benedicto Lauro in the 33 minute of the game. Quebrachitos FC's Kire Irving played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Romano in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Quebrachitos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcell Pécsi to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Santo Romano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kire Irving saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santo Romano made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Santo Romano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tabossi's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcell Pécsi in the 55th minute of play. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Ruzzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, Tabossi's Santo Romano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kire Irving made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Jorge Satordi made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Albino Sabin immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcell Pécsi in the 72nd minute of play forced Tabossi's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcell Pécsi in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Tabossi booed when Quebrachitos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chet Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tabossi's Simula Dron was substituted for Saturnino Oinaz. Tabossi's Rico Marica was substituted for Santo Romano. Chet Holmgren hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Rico Marica dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kire Irving, 1-3. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tabossi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
