The Sagarana Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean Leite should have stopped the shot. Club Atletico Los Andes's Nereo Tohias got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iuri Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nereo Tohias in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Nereo Tohias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nereo Tohias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean Leite was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Jean Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Tohias in the 33rd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Club Atletico Los Andes got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Munio. Jean Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Tohias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Tohias in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean Leite saved Sagarana Clube from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Sagarana Clube's Tostão Goiano got a free kick in the 39th minute. Jean Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Tohias, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. César Carioca hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nereo Tohias in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Sagarana Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atletico Los Andes were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adelino Andrade to make the kick off. Tostão Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when Club Atletico Los Andes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Gorbea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Club Atletico Los Andes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Neto to maneuver through the defense. Club Atletico Los Andes's Gilberto Munio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sagarana Clube. Jean Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Guillen in the 59th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Nereo Tohias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jean Leite. Nereo Tohias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 68 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Guillen came free, but Jean Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Gorbea kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jean Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Guillen in the 72nd minute of play. Sagarana Clube's Jean Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Tohias in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Jean Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nereo Tohias. Gilberto Munio struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Jean Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Los Andes. Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gilberto Munio 89 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Sagarana Clube's Jean Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Tohias in the 92nd minute of play. If Gilberto Munio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Los Andes's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
