The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Waclaw Rakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. Kazimierz Sienkiewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kazimierz Sienkiewicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zachary Boruta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Adam de Reyck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucjan Polakowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herald Dujardin's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waclaw Rakowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lucjan Polakowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Reynders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute of the match Robbin Meeus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucjan Polakowski skillfully saved the ball. Harold Reynders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute.
