Tamer Baransel struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Osvaldinho Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HORIZZONT. The supporters of HORIZZONT booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Özgür Olcay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tamer Baransel got free with Osvaldinho Marquez in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osvaldinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Behzat Derem, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ali Behzat Derem kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 30 minutes HORIZZONT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ronaldo Ramos who took care of the corner kick. Dino Castro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Ali Behzat Derem took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Osvaldinho Marquez to make any attempt to save it. Tamer Baransel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Osvaldinho Marquez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ali Behzat Derem blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldinho Marquez having to make a save. Tamer Baransel scored 4-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldinho Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diamantino Barbosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Behzat Derem came free, but Osvaldinho Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Lütfi Erbay in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Grêmio FBPA's Dudu Negri. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 65 minutes into the match, Suphi Ziyaettin notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez. Osvaldinho Marquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Behzat Derem in the 72nd minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edu Veiga hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Özgür Olcay during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, HORIZZONT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özgür Olcay to maneuver through the defense. Sefa Yahya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. HORIZZONT walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
