Ariel Cordarius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Barbosa in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Jorge Argenis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th match minute, LOS PECES DEL INFIERNO Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Eneko to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th match minute, Grêmio FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Veiga to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diamantino Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. Diamantino Barbosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ariel Cordarius came out and tried to block the shot, but Diamantino Barbosa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diamantino Barbosa in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Cordarius saved LOS PECES DEL INFIERNO Ψ from getting behind. Ariel Cordarius made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Edu Veiga sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Edu Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Diamantino Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Grêmio FBPA getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dino Castro hit a great ball. The Grêmio FBPA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Grêmio FBPA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
